Nearly 600 Veterans from across the country participated in the 36th National Veterans Wheelchair Games June 27 – July 2 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Veterans competed in a variety of adaptive sports, including wheelchair basketball, quad rugby, archery, triathlon, track and field, swimming, softball, slalom, nine ball and boccia.
The organization provides services for the aid and betterment of its members and for improved solutions. The date of Charter admission was July 24, 1981.

Eligibility for PVA, Cal-Diego Chapter membership is based on U.S. citizenship, either separation from active duty service under conditions other than dishonorable or current active duty, and incurrence of a spinal cord injury or disease (such as MS,ALS), whether or not service connected in origin. Membership is free.
As the 36th National Veterans Wheelchair Games in Salt Lake City comes to a close, the athletes have a chance to celebrate themselves and each other at this final dinner.
